At the end of 2022, a photograph of the abandoned state of the building appeared in the media. So the GromControl team decided to investigate the situation and go to court. Although the cultural heritage should be protected by the city, in fact this is not happening. It turned out that in 2019 and 2020 there were two large-scale fires in the building, during which the roof burned and the floors collapsed. This scheme is very similar to the one according to which the Red Cross hospital was destroyed, and then the Geneva residential complex was built in its place (it was built by a company close to the entourage of Gufman and Korban – Dnipro Construction and Installation Company LLC (EDRPOU 41042382)).
